Legislative Interns

Legislative Interns oversee the commissioners who sit on the Youth Advisory Council assisting them in completing all their goals and making sure they have full involvement in the community. In addition, Legislative Interns work closely with the their respective district supervisors and receive a first hand knowledge of the political parameters of the Board of Supervisors daily functions.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently attending a college in Riverside County and be 17-22 years of age.
  • Live in one of the 5 supervisorial districts in Riverside County and maintain a 3.0 GPA. (Internship is for one year)
  • Must be majoring in political science, business, or some sort of government studies.

The Economic Development Agency funds the intern’s positions. Therefore, all issues having to deal with pay, hours and time sheets should be addressed to this agency.
